A story of Ryukyuan boys in Taiwan / 琉球少年和台灣疏散 / 沖縄の少年を台湾で見た（１）
有一位嘉義布袋出生的先生，他很深刻記憶第二戰時發生很悲慘的事情。我個人，當地文史工作者/陳俊哲老師給我介紹他之前，我沒有意識到這些台灣嘉義縣海邊的地區有跟沖繩/琉球非常關係的故事。2024年11年13日下午，我在朴子市內一家中醫診所採訪他，是1935年出生的吳火旺中醫師跟我說，二戰末期他看見了十幾個沖繩小朋友的遺體躺在布袋海邊的寺廟，他們都是台灣疏散的遭害者。

台湾嘉義県の布袋で生まれた男性が、第二次世界大戦のときに発生した悲しい出来事を記憶している。私としては、地元の文史工作者（郷土史家）である陳俊哲先生から、この男性を紹介されるまでは、嘉義の海辺のエリアに沖縄・琉球と関係のあるエピソードが隠されているとは思いもよらなかった。昨（2024）年11月13日の午後、私は嘉義県朴子市内にある一軒の漢方医診療所を尋ねた。そこで待っていた男性、1935年生まれの呉火旺医師が私に語ったのは、第二次大戦末期に沖縄の子どもたち10数人の遺体が布袋の海沿いにある廟に並べられていたという目撃談である。呉医師の話によると、いずれも沖縄から疎開してきた子どもたちだという。

A man from Butai, Jiayi, Taiwan, cannot forget a tragic event that had happened in WW2. Before I was introduced to him by Mr. Chen jun-zhe, a local historian, I never thought such a distressing scene like that connected to Okinawa / Ryukyu had happened in this seaside area of Jiayi, Taiwan. On the afternoon of 13rd Nov. 2024, I visited one of the clinics of Chinese medicine in Puzi city, Jiayi pref. with Mr. Chen, and interviewed Dr. Wu huo-wang of this clinic who was born in 1935. He said that there had been boy’s bodies laid out in the square in front of a temple. According to him, these boys had come from Okiniawa / Ryukyu to Taiwan for evacuation.
