金瓜石を見上げる村で / A Yonaguni woman in the village at the foot of Jinguashi
ある与那国出身者の話。
その人はすでに亡くなっていて、戸籍によれば、死亡した場所は基隆郡瑞芳街水南洞である。物故した日は昭和20年8月15日。終戦のその日のことだった。「水南洞」とは今の「水湳洞」のこと。「水金九」の「水」である。戸籍に掲載されている地番を手がかりに調べてみると、台湾鉱業株式会社の社宅があった場所らしい。「濂洞里」という地区の一角である。台湾鉱業株式会社は大規模な鉱山開発を行った会社である。
2025年2月17日、その場所を訪ねてみると、長屋風の建物が何棟か並んでいた。土地の人に聞いてみると、土台や構造は日本統治期に作られた建物の土台や構造をそのまま使い、手直しをし、屋根を葺き替えて人々が暮らしているのだそうだ。
上から眺めてみると、敷き詰められたように黒い屋根が並んでいる。このどこかで、その人は終戦の日に亡くなったということなのだろうか。80年前のことなので、何かがはっきりと分かるとは期待していなかったが、その時のことをイメージするための触媒は手に入ったような気がした。一風変わった色をした陰陽海に白波が立つ風景を、その人も見ていたはずだ。
這是一位與那國人的故事。
她很久以前往生了。根據她的戶口，昭和20(1945)年8月15日，第二大戰爭結束的當天，她在日治時代的基隆郡瑞芳街水南洞過世了。水南洞，是現在的水湳洞。我以戶口上表示的地址為線索找一找她過世的地方，一篇論文讓我知道那個地方可能有臺灣鑛業株式會社社宅，位於濂洞里的一個角落。臺灣鑛業株式會社是日治時代開發金瓜石礦山的公司。
2025年2月17日、我訪問濂洞里。在社宅的地方上有狹長的房屋很多。居民跟我說，這些房屋是利用日治時代房屋的基礎與結構，修改、蓋屋頂等，結果現在的樣子。
從上面看這些房屋，好多黑色屋頂鋪滿排列。終戰紀念日，在這些地區的某一個地方，過世了沒? 訪問這裡之前，原本，我沒有期待收穫什麼清楚的事，我好像取得讓我想像比較清楚當時事情的催化劑了。
擁有特殊彩色的陰陽海上白浪翻騰。那位與那國的人也一定看見了這個風景。
A Yonaguni women.
She has already been dead. According to the family record, at 15th Aug. 1945, it is the day of the end of the WWⅡ, she died at Suinando(水南洞), Zuiho-gai(瑞芳街), Kirun-gun(基隆郡). Suinando is recently Shuinandong(水湳洞) 。Using the address shown on the family record , I searched the situation of this place, after that, a research paper made me know that there maybe had were company housings of a mining company that on Japanese period had developed in Jinguashi(金瓜石). The name of this place is Lian Dong-li(濂洞里).
17th Fev. 2025、 I went there. I found there were some of long-narrow houses. I talked to a few residents, and they let me know that the houses were built using old houses’ foundations and basic structure, repair and roofs put on.
From the top of the area、 black roofs covered all over that block. Somewhere under these roofs、 she was probably dead on the day of the end of WWⅡ, wasn’t it? It happened 80 years ago. Basically、 I do not expect something about her would be clear. But、 I may have received some catalyst to imagine the situation at that time. On the uniquely colored Yin Yang Hai (陰陽海) a lot of white wave had been appearing. The Yonaguni person had to be looking at the scene like this.
